Ioannis Protonotarios

Engineer - DIYer

Embedded Systems/IoT engineer and diy enthusiast. I design and implement low cost & low power networked sensing systems, from the ground up. This usually involves requirements elicitation, breadboard prototyping, PCB design, low level and server side software, up to simple web based visualizations and 3d printing of enclosures.

My formal education comprises of a diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Patras, Greece (5y) and a MSc in Embedded Systems from TU Delft, The Netherlands (2y).
Following that I was employed by the Embedded and Networked Systems group & the Delft Data Science initiative at TU Delft as a research engineer for 5 years. Currently I'm working as a freelancer for protonotarios.info.

Most projects showcased here involve hardware & software co-design, true examples of embedded systems, right where my skills lie.

Although the distinction between work and fun is not entirely clear to me, you can find projects that probably fall into the maker category under "Fun".

Don't hesitate to e-mail me for questions or collaboration ideas!
